For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 possible. * WHERE...Portions of north and central Georgia. * WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, valid until noon EDT Monday. For the Freeze Watch, from Monday evening through Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing. &&

Relative Humidities of 25 percent or less can be expected for 4 or more hours this afternoon into the evening. Winds will be out of the northeast at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph possible. With dry fuels, high fire danger conditions can be expected. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn outside, use extreme caution.
